General Conference, Easter, and Surgery

Obviously a few big things have happened since the last post. The first being General Conference.
This is how I concentrate during conference, I draw :)

I was so lovely to watch it together as a family. Anson did pretty good sitting still with his Friend magazine during the first session. I truly enjoyed most of the talks. Especially Elder Holland's, Elder Scott's, and Elder Christofferson's. It blows my brain that we have a new General Bishopric AND General Relief Society President. While I am excited to get to know them, I sure am going to miss Julie Beck and her counselors. I really loved Sister Beck's talk, it was wonderful.

Easter was awesome. We went to our neighbor's (The Almeidas) and had the full Polish spread. It was divine. Earlier that week, on a Wednesday, I went over to Danelle Bania's house (our other neighbor) and silk tie died eggs. They came out beautifully!

Then, last Thursday Adrian had his long awaited surgery. When he was born, he was diagnosed with hypospadias (a birth defect in which the opening of the urethra is on the underside, rather than at the end, of the penis). The urologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital did a 2 hour surgery to repair it. Now he is okay :) I was surprised, after the first day he didn't need any pain medication and was back to his normal, cheerful self. We will keep tabs on it over the next few months to make sure he heals correctly. Here he is in his adorable little hospital gown.
