This is how I concentrate during conference, I draw :)
I was so lovely to watch it together as a family. Anson did pretty good sitting still with his Friend magazine during the first session. I truly enjoyed most of the talks. Especially Elder Holland's, Elder Scott's, and Elder Christofferson's. It blows my brain that we have a new General Bishopric AND General Relief Society President. While I am excited to get to know them, I sure am going to miss Julie Beck and her counselors. I really loved Sister Beck's talk, it was wonderful.
Then, last Thursday Adrian had his long awaited surgery. When he was born, he was diagnosed with hypospadias (a birth defect in which the opening of
the urethra is on the underside, rather than at the end, of the penis). The urologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital did a 2 hour surgery to repair it. Now he is okay :) I was surprised, after the first day he didn't need any pain medication and was back to his normal, cheerful self. We will keep tabs on it over the next few months to make sure he heals correctly. Here he is in his adorable little hospital gown.
Lots of happenings. Love the gown...so cute in it. Reminds me of his mommy about the same age.
