Drawing I started a few days ago
I am going to repent for my irregularity with the blog. I don't know if anyone has noticed said inconsistency, but I think that since this blog pretty much serves as a kind of record of our lives, I should be more consistent...
Today was a good day for Julia and the kids.
I got up in the morning and ran a million errands while Paul watched the kids at home and made breakfast. It was nice to simply run around with the ease of being alone. It's amazing what you can get done in an hour without having to chase after kids. My appreciation for my parents has skyrocketed since I have had children.
When I got home I took a hot shower. Some days a nice shower is just marvelous. I did some dishes, then about the time Anson did something that really upset the baby I decided it was time to focus on the kids. Anson and I got out the "Six by Seuss" book and read for about an hour together. We both enjoyed it so much that I realized how much time I spend running around cleaning the house or doing errands instead of enjoying my children.
At 3:00 Anson went to his friend Harley's house. I came home, finished some laundry, then started painting on a drawing I did a few days ago. I so absolutely enjoyed painting that I decided to forgo the Relief Society activity I was looking forward to all week. Having 2 kids has made it so difficult to make time for my talents (harp and painting especially). I had made a big pot of soup and a whole pie last night, so luckily I didn't even have to worry about stopping to make dinner tonight. I did take a break to talk to my sister on the phone, though, and that was quite enjoyable. Paul came home around 8:15 and went to go pick up Anson. A strong rainstorm had hit rather suddenly while I was painting and had turned into a snow blizzard. Luckily Heavenly Father kept Paul and Anson safe during the drive home, but the car did slide around a bit!
Anson went to bed after reading more books with Mommy. I made a smoothie for Paul and I, and now I am going to do some reading of my own.
That's it, nothing too extraordinary, but a good day nevertheless.

The Bun is pretty cute...nice to
