Happy happenings
Today has been a bit of a drag because we are sick at our house. That's lame. Other than that we have had some cool things happen.
Yesterday Anson put his arms around my neck and said "I love you." Unsolicited. It made my life. He's growing up. Made me realize how grateful I am for my own parents. No wonder they are happy when I tell them I love them.
I signed up for a Zumba and Yoga class. It's been helping a lot! I am 3 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Hurrah! I finally squeezed into one of my normal pairs of pants and a Sunday dress. There is light at the end of the tunnel!
I got a job as an art director for a start-up publishing house. It has been an interesting experience. I feel like I am a lot better at giving people advice than taking it myself. The wonderful thing is that the job has got me doing research and making connections. I do something creative every day. It is a good thing.
Paul's semester is going much better this time. He has been studying the language, particularly the development of Chinese. He can read Ancient Chinese and decipher some of the poetry now. It's cool. He has also been playing basketball with the ward. They have had 2 games in the stake. Won one, lost one. We are proud of him.

Valentine's/Easter headband
Hi Julia!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled onto your blog from Terry and Marissa's. I'm Jenn, I grew up with Paul and the "fantastic 5" as they liked to be known. Anyway, just wanted to say hello. Your babe is a doll, glad you're doing zumba and yoga (my sanity savers), and impressed that Chinese poetry is being deciphered. Awesome. Have a great weekend!
I like Anson's declaration of : I Love YOU!!
ReplyDeletemakes me happy!
