It seems as though there is a post in order pertaining to health.
Poor Adrian has been rawther sick. He came down with a cold, an ear infection, and a green goopy, leaky eye a couple weeks ago. They gave him some antibiotics, but he broke out in a crazy raised red rash all over his back and the rest of his body. Turns out he is allergic to penicillin. I took him to the doctor when he got the rash, and they decided NOT to put him on a different kind of antibiotic because his ear infection had cleared up. Unfortunately the goopy eye returned a week later, and last night he woke up crying with a fever. He's been sick all day. Taking him to the doctor tomorrow morning.
Anson has been okayish. He has been a bit on the crabby/grumpy side today and yesterday plus he has been waking up crying a lot tonight, so he may be getting sick as well. It has been a relay race between he and Adrian ever since they went to bed.
Paul is good. He is finally feeling better. His program is driving him more crazy than usual, though, so that's lame. I made him some brownies tonight to make him feel better. Seems to have helped :)
As for me, my tummy issues are acting up again. They have been amping up for the last 3 days or so. Tonight I made veggie noodle soup with non-acidic vegetables and still had a horrid stomach ache. I decided to start at square one tomorrow with chicken broth and Odwalla Superfood. That was the only thing that saved me when I felt like this last...just before I got pregnant with Adrian. On the bright side, though, I am seeing a gastroenterologist. I am having a bunch of tests done this month to check the functionality of my liver and gallbladder. Hope those go well. On the dreary side, I can't seem to get my insurance to cover my medication. They keep telling me to take double doses of medicines that give me pounding migraines. I am praying that I will be approved for prescription coverage before we leave. Wow, I kind of sound like a grandma, complaining about all our aches and pains. But hey, guess that's where we are this week.
ON a slightly different note:
Preparation for travel plans are going well. We got everyone applied for visas, the POD is here and I have been packing stuff everyday, and boxes have been easy to find in the dumpsters at the strip mall. I also succeeded in selling our single Jeep stroller on Craigslist for $160. I turned around and put the money right into a Graco Sit and Stand for the kids. Hopefully it will be easy to use in China. We'll put our lovely Chicco double stroller in storage for when we come back to the States.
