Today was lovely...mostly.
Here's what we did:
Paul babysat the boys all morning so I could do an endowment session at the temple. It definitely recharged my batteries, and I came home so much happier.
Then I mailed something I had sold on eBay and made 8 bucks.
After that I convinced Paul to take us to the pool. We stayed for 2 hours and just enjoyed some family time. Adrian was as happy as could be. He loves water, especially the hot tub. Anson did pretty good with swimming around with a life jacket on. He has been sort of crabby lately, so I think it was a mixed experience for him; overall, I believe he enjoyed himself.
Then we went to a scummy little restaurant near campus called No. 1 Chinese (Mom, you know what I'm talking about). The food was a good deal and definitely hit the spot.
Then we went out to get in our car and that's when things weren't so lovely anymore. Turns out that we missed the signs that indicated that we had parked in a Wendy's parking lot, so our car got towed. Our neighbor picked us up, dropped me and the kids off at home, then took Paul to go get the car. Cost us $173 to park in a Wendy's parking lot to go get some ghetto Chinese food. Robbery, totally. So, tack that onto all of the other expenses of moving, travel, and life in general...yeah, life's a ______.
Looking on the bright side, I am glad we have good neighbors who are looking out for us. I am glad we didn't have to go on a super long walk with the kids to track down our car. I am glad we have a car. Just gotta focus on the positive...and ignore the facts.
AAAAAAAAaaaaaaggggggggg! Mr. Policeman was

I guess you'll have to forgive him, having
gone to the temple and everything!
