One of my friends from my illustration critique group informed me of the Monsters International art competition in Montreal, Canada. I thought it would be fun to do something whimsical. Don't ask me where I got this idea, I just started drawing. It only took me about 4-5 hours. While my mother was in town last week she bought me a set of Acryla Gouache: a medium highly recommended by my mentor. I decided that this monster painting could be a fun way to try out my new paints. I had a blast. Don't know if it will get into the competition, but I enjoyed it and will hang it in my boys' room if it doesn't sell.
