I thought it would be very fun for Anson to help me make some blueberry (and chocolate chip) pancakes the next morning. I usually don't have him help me with things because I get frustrated with the mess, so I set up a spot on the floor with some paper bags and mentally prepared myself for toddler-like mess. It was so fun! He even stood on a stool and helped me cook them on the stove.
Afterward he wanted to help wash dishes!
Then we went to the laundromat and he helped me put the wet laundry in the dryer.
Later on in the afternoon, after I took a nap, I cooked up a batch of play dough. It takes a lot of arm power, especially in the cooking process, but Anson was very excited to get to play with it once I finished dying the dough. It makes me happy that it is more-or-less non-toxic and that it doesn't stink like PlayDoh. Anson calls it his "tatoes" because it looked like mashed potatoes before it was colored. So now he is sitting at the table playing with it. My mom gave me some tiny cookie cutters (for fondant) and they are perfect for cutting play dough with little hands.
OH THIS MAKES MY LITTLE MONTESSORI GRANDMA
